Are you wanting to break negative repeating patterns to find more meaning and connection? My approach is gentle, evidence-informed and relational. My work is trauma-sensitive, attachment & evidence-informed. My greatest skills as a therapist come from my lived experience. I learn from being a parent, partner, mentor, son, brother, uncle and friend. Culture, neurodiversity, power, attachment theory, trauma and embodiment are particular interests and inform the way I practice. Gestalt Therapy Students Nathan is a Neuroaffirming Gestalt therapist, committed to creating a non-judgemental, inclusive, and anti-oppressive therapeutic space. His practice honours the interplay of neurodivergence, cultural context, privilege and power, addressing these factors with care and sensitivity. Nathan employs Gestalt therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy and Depth Enquiry to help clients process unfinished business, trauma, anxiety, and introjects. As a neurodivergent therapist, he works relationally and holistically, supporting clients to de-shame and normalise their experiences, while simultaneously exploring neurostyle (wiring) and contact styles; building ground for self acceptance and self advocacy, balanced with exploring (and updating) fixed Gestalts, creative adjustments and contact styles.
Nathan collaborates with his Gestalt therapy student clients; tailoring their therapeutic journey to balance experience, growth and learning. Students are supported to experience Gestalt therapy firsthand while also exploring its principles and methods. Space is provided for unpacking interventions, linking them to Gestalt theory, supporting development of the student’s therapist identity and knowledge. This collaboration is a dynamic process, adapting to meet the student’s evolving needs as they learn and integrate the Gestalt paradigm. This co-created approach supports students to deepen self-awareness, enhance skills, and align their learning with personal and professional goals. Double appointments and outdoors (walk and talk) appointments are available at the southern Gold Coast, or in Brisbane. Please let Nathan know if you are interested in these options. Gestalt student price: $170/hr. For GTB students: $135 will be paid by GTB, as part of the Fee-Help associated with your course. The $35 gap will be payable by the student. "Nathan has been incredible to work with and embodies such a deep sense of presence that allowed me to explore areas that had been shut down for many years. His work is truly transformational and I always felt very supported while at the same time challenged to grow. I am grateful for his deep understanding, and his commitment to his work as therapist. Our work together has helped both empower me and integrate what I have learnt into the various relationships within my life. I look forward to catching up again with Nathan and would highly recommend his services as a therapist."

Mark D.
"My sessions with Healing Ground came at a time of significant life challenges, the death of my Father and the breakdown of my 10 year marriage. Nathan held a space of deep compassion and intuitive inquiry that allowed me to process and integrate many difficult aspects of what I was going through whilst also supporting me to remain connected to my body and my honest feelings.
From the beginning and through to completion I felt safe, held, acknowledged and supported by Nathan's presence and skill. My sessions helped me move through this time with a softer heart and clearer mind and I'm eternally grateful to have found such a haven."
